Summary:
Manages the marketing and sales of a branch from prospect calling to deal closing. Interfaces with clients and potential clients to ensure that the branch is aware of up-coming work to bid or get job that are not bid related. Develops long term relationships with customer group and maintains positive image of LVI to those customers. Interfaces with Branch Manager, Project Managers and Estimators to ensure jobs and relationships remain positive.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Secures jobs from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customers or contacting by phone.
- Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
- Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
- Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, management, other key personnel).
- Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
- Performs all assigned duties in the assigned Branch.
- Provides a branch work on hand forecast on a monthly basis.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the Branch manager.
- Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the Branch manager.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA or five years' experience in industry.
- Outside sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to drive company automobile.
The qualified candidate must be a highly motivated, aggressive, sales professional with strong prospecting and closing capabilities. Responsibilities to include but not limited to: heavy business to business prospect calling to identify end users, conduct face-to-face appointments to qualify prospective customers’ needs, managing specific target markets, ability to manage long sales cycle, work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to develop continuous new business/marketing strategies.
