The state of Florida experienced an unprecedented hurricane season in 2004, and Martin County, Florida, experienced two hurricanes back to back in September. As a school district charged with educating approximately 17,900 students, you can imagine the resulting turmoil these storms left on our operation.

Martin County acquired a (First Alert) contract with LVI just prior to the first hurricane, and the Superintendent approved a work authorization in the event we received storm-related damage. Little did we know how important this contract would become to our operation and the quick restoration of services. LVI was present the afternoon after each storm passed, working alongside our staff to assess the damages and develop a scope of work to immediately restore each school for occupation by students.

LVI’s team was extremely responsive and sensitive to our needs as they related to our priorities and policies. We thank you for your valued service and appreciate the relationship we have developed, as LVI has been a major contribution to our success.

I am writing this letter to express the sincere gratitude of the New Orleans Division Office of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for the outstanding efforts of LVI Services in repairing the damages caused by Hurricane Katrina to DEA’s offices at Three Lakeway Center in Metairie, Louisiana. I was extremely impressed with the speed with which LVI responded to our needs. Representatives were on site just over a week after Hurricane Katrina hit. The job LVI faced at the time was tremendous. There was no water, power or sanitary facilities. Broken glass, sharp protruding metal and dangling electrical wires were everywhere. Temperatures regularly exceeded 90 degrees.

Thanks to LVI Services, DEA became the first tenant to move back into Three Lakeway. As a result, DEA was able to save at least $1.5 million of taxpayer funds that had been earmarked for the lease of temporary office facilities. We were able to resume operations smoothly and without wasted effort. I would be very pleased to serve as a reference for LVI Services.

The Denver Fire Department, along with other City and County of Denver agencies, underwent a variety of emergency training. That training would not have been possible without the support of you and your crew. The help you provided during initial training setup as well as during the actual training was the difference between safe and meaningful training scenarios and what could have amounted to a minimal, less than effective training for department personnel.

In the event of an actual emergency, our personnel will now be better trained and prepared. Firms such as LVI are resources we would not hesitate to call upon for assistance in the event of a large-scale emergency.

LVI Environmental completed a $6 million demolition contract, which was part of a 2,500-guestroom remodel project at our Bellagio Hotel and Casino facility. LVI performed their work on time, on schedule and in a professional manner.
